- Notice that in the previos example, there is barely a difference between
input and output.
- It appears that sinusoids of frequency f=0.01 pass through the filter
without significant attenuation.
- Further, notice that the output is also a sinusoid of frequency f=0.01.
- Now, let f=0.1; the resulting input and output are shown below.
- Notice, that (except for the transient at the beginning, the output signal is identical to zero.
- That means, the filter completely rejects sinusoids of frequency f=0.1!
